Springfield Missouri Breast Awareness Activities
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can educate yourself on early prevention methods like eating healthy, regularly giving yourself self-exams, and getting mammograms after age 50 and learn more about lifestyle habits that make you more prone to breast cancer.
To help educate others on how to prevent breast cancer, take part in your local breast cancer awareness activities.
EVENTS
Walk! Get your friends and family on board and energized and support the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks with a Breast Cancer Walk. Encourage your friends and family to raise money for the cause.
Particpate! Participate in local fundraising activities raffles, fashion shows and craft bazaars to help raise money for the cause.
Educate! Host an at-home evening awareness campaign with a speaker who can share the warning signs and prevention methods.
There are lots of ways to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but the most important part is keeping yourself and loved ones healthy with early detection and healthy habits. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions.
